There are an estimated 3 million tympanostomy tubes used per year for children with chronic otitis media with effusion (COME) and acute otitis media (AIM). Otomagnetics has developed a system to instead magnetically deliver therapy to cochlear and middle ear compartments, eliminating the need for tubes. NCC-PDI has advised the company and helped with pre-clinical studies on the device.
