Cardiac arrhythmias can affect the quality of life and lead to morbidity and mortality in pediatric patients. Prompt diagnosis and appropriate early management can potentially prevent life threatening events, restore functional capacity, and improve quality of life for the child and family. The Carnation Ambulatory Monitor (CAM) is the first P-wave centric ECG patch monitor, designed for the optimal detection and clear recording of the P-wave, the small amplitude ECG signal originating in the right atrium essential for accurate arrhythmia diagnosis and the determination of appropriate medical or procedural intervention. The CAM is one of the only cardiac monitoring and arrhythmia detection patch devices commercially available that is best-suited and available for pediatric patients that weigh 10 kg (22 lbs) or more. Bardy Diagnostics is committed to the cardiac health of children and intends to push forward on expanding our labeling to cover all pediatric patients. This will involve supporting clinical studies that demonstrate clinical utility of our patch on the sub-segment of pediatrics that are <10kg. While off-label use of our product is already occurring, we intend to formalize this development effort to become the gold-standard for pediatric ambulatory ECG monitoring.
