Announcing our Spring 2026 Pediatric Device Pitch Competition – Cardiovascular Focus

$200,000 to be awarded for innovative pediatric cardiovascular device projects!

The Midwest Pediatric Device Consortium and the Alliance for Pediatric Device Innovation are proud to announce our Spring 2026 Pediatric Device Pitch Competition. Abstract applications for innovative pediatric cardiovascular device projects will be accepted starting March 25 through April 15, 2026. PDC Innovation Grants help drive promising pediatric device ideas towards market availability for patient benefit. Academic, business, and startup innovators based in the United States are invited to apply. Thanks to funding from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration through the Pediatric Device Consortia Grants Program, a total of $200,000 in seed grants will be awarded.

AWARD

• Up to $50,000 per project
• Advising, prototyping support, and commercialization coaching by the PDC and industry partners

TIMELINE

• Abstract applications: March 25-April 15
• Finalists announced: April 17
• Full applications (invitation only): April 17-May 1
• Pitch Competition: May 15 in Cincinnati

ELIGIBILITY

• Innovator with a promising pediatric cardiovascular device that meets the FDA definition of a medical device
• Intending to seek an indication for use (IFU) in a pediatric population
• Based in the United States
• Available to present at the pitch competition in Cincinnati on May 15, 2026
