FAQs

What kind of support can NCC-PDI provide innovators?

Innovators that receive NCC-PDI services fall under two categories: those receiving consultation services only, and those receiving direct funding, coupled with consultation services. To source pediatric device innovators, we use two approaches: 1) proactive scouting 2) respond to device innovator requests submitted through our website.

The mentor(s) assigned to pediatric device innovators will provide them with proactive assessment, guidance, education, and support. For those receiving direct funding, milestones and deliverables are checked on a quarterly basis, through formal reports to NCC-PDI, and through web-based conferences where each awardee makes a progress presentation and receives feedback from NCC-PDI as well as from other fellow device innovators.

Innovate4Kids

The National Capital Consortium for Pediatric Device Innovation (NCC-PDI) serves as a critical device development resource by providing expert advice, support services, and fund management of pediatric device innovation.
